Goals

  • Give regional artisans a curated surface instead of scattered social posts.
  • Keep the site fast on low-bandwidth mobile connections.
  • Require no backend, so any collective can host it for free.
  • Put the artwork, not the interface, in front of the visitor.

Approach & architecture

    Image-first layout

    A responsive gallery grid where artwork fills the viewport and chrome stays minimal.

    Lazy loading and compressed assets keep first paint quick on slow connections.

    Zero backend

    Pure static HTML, CSS and JavaScript, deployable to any static host or GitHub Pages.
